Gifted Services Mission Statement Going Beyond! Gifted Services identifies and provides service to gifted and talented learners unique abilities, talents, interests and personal/social emotional needs by creating and implementing a rich, differentiated curriculum that offers students opportunities to aspire to reach high academic achievement and stimulate their intellectual curiosity. Classroom experiences will lead to college and career readiness by engaging students in meaningful research, developing independent, critical and creative thinking skills and problem solving strategies. We provide leadership, professional development, and accountability to all providers of gifted services.
Gifted Services Recent News
Gifted Services will host our annaul GSAC kick-off event for SPPS families and staff on October 13, 2011 from 5:30 - 7:00 p.m. at 345 Plato Blvd East, Saint Paul, MN 55107. Saint Paul Public Schools offers services for high ability/gifted students at most school sites. These services may include intellectually gifted programming, accelerated program options and enrichment services at the elementary level, Accelerated classes at the middle/junior high level, and Advanced Placement (AP), International Baccalaureate (IB), or College In the Schools (CIS) classes at the high school level. The range of services offered may not be the same at all schools.
To find out what specific services are available, contact your building Gifted Services Specialist, Classroom Teacher or school office.
NNAT2 Testing Information 2011
NNAT2 registration and information is available under the "Identification" tab on the Gifted Services website.
The GSAC meetings are held at The Center for Curriculum, Instruction and Professional Development located at 345 Plato Blvd. East, St. Paul, MN.
